Windows XP Boot Screen Freezes on Startup:
Problem:
When i turn on the computer it boots and when the logo of Windows XP appears with the black background as usual and the progress bar scrolls.well On that stage it stops completely so i cant even get into the welcome screen.What to do?

Solution For The Above Problem:
It mostly happens due to improper Shutdown.This improper shutdown leads to error in your Local Drives.

1.When your Start your Computer Press F8.
2.Select Safe Mode Option.
3.Open Command Prompt.(Start–>Run–>Cmd)
4.Type the following and hit Enter.
CHKDSK
Note: Chkdsk Stands For Check Disk.
5.Then Restart your PC.
6.The Windows Xp Boot Screen Freeze Problem must be fixed.

If the Problem persists try to System Restore.

Start–>Programs–>Accessories –>System Tools–>System Restore.

Select a Restore date for your Windows Xp.The Boot screen freeze problem will be fixed.

How To Change The Title Bar Caption Of The Command Prompt



Today lets see a simple trick with windows command prompt.Most of you might have know how to change Title bar text of command prompt. By default you can see default path of cmd.exe in windows title bar.
You can open multiple command prompts and give different titles for each command window.

The syntax is,
title “Your Text”

Example:
title kiran kumar


Remove AUTORUN.INF From Infected Computers

Remove Autorun.inf Manually here i have given  2 methods .Choose anyone Method to remove the Virus…

1st Method :


Start–>Run–> Type Cmd –>Click Ok
so just type this stuff
at 
c:\ prompt

attrib a*.inf -h -a -s -r
del autorun.inf

Note : Then Change the Drive Letter C,D,E,F,G….and repaeat the Same Process..

Copy this in a NOTEPAD file, then save the notepad file as : “file.bat” and then run it to remove all the rubbish of autorun.inf

Personalizing Your Windows Command Prompt

Well, Many of you windows users may be bored of the same command prompt Interface, here is how to change and personalize your command prompt the way u want, By default windows has Black background with white text.
To View the Color options available
type 
color /? in the Command prompt
which shows you information, about the colors



then type on the appropriate numbers to change colors .



There is an Alternative way, If you’d prefer to change the color without entering commands, just click on the Command Prompt icon in the top left corner of the window and select Properties.





How To Enable Or Disable USB Port In Windows



My friends were asking I can’t access pendrive or connect any USB drives in my college system or in my office systems.USB access as been Restricted. How to break the USB restriction ? .
Usually USB access is restricted in Colleges and Offices due to Virus Problems.Worms Spread across the Computers in Organisations and causes trouble to System Administrator.So some of the administrator blocks the USB ports so that system does not get infected by this way.You can also disable and re-enable your system’s USB ports by a simple Registry trick.

Follow the below steps to disable usb port in windows
1. Click Start–>Run.
2. Type regedit, and then click OK.
3. Locate, and then click the following registry key:HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\UsbStor
4. In the right pane, double-click Start.
*In the Value data box, type 4, click Hexadecimal (if it is not already selected), and then click OK.
5. Quit Registry Editor.




To re-enable usb port in windows
1. Click Start–> Run.
2. Type regedit, and then click OK.
3. Locate, and then click the following registry key:HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\UsbStor
4. In the right pane, double-click Start.
5. In the Value data box, type 3, click Hexadecimal (if it is not already selected), and then click OK.
6. Quit Registry Editor.


OR
Open control panel–>system–>hardware–>device manager
Then look for the usb port in the list and select it then you can see an option disable or enable accordingly on the tool bar.
